health gurantee Hi there, I'm wondering if you could take a look at this guarantee and tell me if it looks ok or not. Thank you in advance!!! Date of sale:__________ Time: _________ Buyer has 3 __days to take animal to buyers licensed veterinarian for a health inspection, at buyer’s expense. As seller is at No time responsible for any veterinarian bills whatsoever. If the animal passes vet inspection, the sale becomes final. The buyer assumes any and all responsibility for animal from this day forward. Should the animal be determined to be in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributed to the seller [ other than parasites, or any treatable problems ] the animal may, upon presentation of written diagnosis from said vet be returned for a full refund, or trade for another animal of equal value as soon as one is available. Notification must be made to the seller within 24 hours of inspection by your vet. REVACCINATE : As your vet recommends. It is wise to isolate your new Puppy/ Dog from other animals until you have your vet exam and stool checked. Should the animal contract one of the diseases vaccinated for between the date of purchase and the revaccination date, seller will give full refund. At no time will money be refunded on an animal without said animal being returned alive. If animal should develop any life threatening problem we the breeders will replace the animal with one of equal value as soon as one comes available for up to one year of age. Breeder must be informed within 24 hours of any health problems in order to receive replacement of animal. All puppies are sold as pets only unless otherwise stated below

Hmmmm...sounds a little vague to me. From the way it's worded, it sounds like the pups have not been screened by a vet for anything: It is wise to isolate your new Puppy/ Dog from other animals until you have your vet exam and stool checked. has this not already been done? Also, this part: Should the animal be determined to be in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributed to the seller [ other than parasites, or any treatable problems ]... There are lots of things that pups can suffer from that are not life threatening and are 'treatable', but at the same time are things that the breeder should be responsible for.

breeder That is a contract meant to protect the breeder 100% and place all blame on the pet buyer...works great if you can get the buyer to fall for it...

Thanks....I'm definately trying. It is like preparing for a baby....lots to do before the arrival so that it all goes (semi) smoothly. It's hard out there for a newby....I feel like everywhere I turn there is someone waiting to either con me or not give me my monies worth. I really want to do right by my soon to be furbabe....every step of looking for her is pretty scary. But thanks for your opinions!

Yorkierose, Thanks for that comment...that is exactly what I was wondering. I dont understand a word of it, and it seemed to me like it was drafted with someone like me in mind. Even if I like her yorkies I wont bother going any further with a guarantee like that. This may be way out of line...but I'm wondering if any breeders out there could send me a copy of their guarantee...so I know what to look for.

contract Few, very few genetic probems show up within 3 days..the best you can hope for is to find worms/parasites, ear mites, heart murmur, etc..any obvious problem..unfortunately most sick pups can have 3 good days...the buyereds a year of protection.
