Oh the joys of owning a stud... |
My male stops eating when one of my girls are in heat too. In early December my Bell was in heat and I didn't want her to have a litter, as she just had one last heat. I was going to send him to my daughters for a nice vacation, but his services were needed for another female. Those were the worst days of my breeding life! Ugh!!! He cried, whined, stopped eating, it was the WORST! He ripped her diapers off, in shreds!! But he didn't get her, and that was worth all the trouble. Breeding isn't always wonderful!;) |
I had two gals in heat back to back and no humpa humpa for Connor. I had to take him to work with me so that he could get some rest and eat. He would have been skin and bones for an upcoming show if I hadn't. It was one long six week stretch! |
My stud Wrigley lost a scary amount of weight with his first breeding. He was completely uninterested in food. I had 2 females in heat right in succession of each other 1 I wanted to breed and 1 that wasn't ready and let me tell you it was a total pain in the butt. He cried and an cried after the bitch that he bred with was done;then cried and cried about the bitch he couldn't be with. Just like a lovesick teenager some how we made it through it. Now in a couple of months we will have the same situation all over again just the opposite. Good luck to you it isn't easy |
