I have been reading on here that royal canin nor eukanuba is good for yorkies. I am lost because those are the two that the breeder suggested i used.

![]() | Hi, I guess you are new here, and I would like to welcome you to Yorkietalk, most people post on the blog section, just to chat about something and aren't really looking for answers. If you have a question it's better to ask it on the different forums. We have a diet forum where you could post a question. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yorkie-health-diet/ I use Royal Canine and Joey's doing very well on it. Many people don't use it because some of the formulas contain corn, and Yorkies are sometimes allergic to corn. If your dog is allergic to corn, one of the symptom is itching, and since this hasn't happened with Joey, we continue to use it. There are lots of different opinions on the "best" dog food. My opinion is more moderate than most, and I believe that any of the premium dog foods are more than adequate for maintaining proper health. Factors to consider when choosing a dog food include, nutritionally sound, availability, price, and whether or not your dog will eat it. Of course you need to take into consideration whether your dog suffers from allergies, or other more serious problems because diet choices become more limited. Here's the link to the General forum and you can introduce yourself and your dog to members, if you like. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...er-discussion/ |
