I can not get rid of the fleas- my poor spike is miserable. I have always used Frontline Plus on him. But my friend uses the K9 advantage because it is to repel the mosquito's. So I thought I would try it- NOT WORKING! I have a big lab that is a outside dog- he hangs in the garage when it rains or he is hot etc. He is older and has these big cancer lumps that ooze and bleed - I dr him often- but just cant have him in the house. Anyways Spike thinks he owns Shultz. so he wants to be with him often- I treat Shultz for fleas every time I treat Spike- same product same time etc. However the k9 is to last up to 30 days. I t works maybe a week if I am lucky. I was just outside with him on the deck - he rolled over on his back(chillin in the sun lol) and he had like 25 just in his belly area I was horrified and ran in here to blog for help - what do you use on your Yorkies FRONTLINE OR K9??? Please help!

pss. we have flea bombed the garage and sprayed they yard- yet FLEAS have taken over.

![]() | Hey, Angelia I have always used Frontline because that is what my vet recommends. I have had great luck with it. I have 3 yorkies and a rot. Fleas are so hard to get rid of. Just keep spraying the yard. Even though most sprays say they last up to 6 weeks and some say up 8 weeks I would spray about every 3-4 weeks (if you can afford it I know it gets expensive) until you get them under control. I bomb the house and the garage but I also spray the garage because it is not air tight. The bombs are great. I bomb the house because you never know when you or your babies might carry one in and all it takes is one to get out of control. I ususally just bomb the house once a year. I use ortho max spray or cutter spray that repeals mosquitos on the yard and garage. Hope this helps. Mendi |

![]() | Our vet tech recommended Vectra this past time because the Revolution that we had been using wasn't working. I applied it last Friday and haven't seen any fleas again since. The only thing is the Vectra is kind of oily and stays in their hair for awhile. And supposedly the Vectra is the best thing on the market right now. |

![]() | I use Frontline Plus and I think it works great on my guys. My yorkipoo had fleas once... he was an indoor dog and rarely went outside so we didn't use anything. Then he got fleas (from a walk at the park, I'm sure). We started using Frontline Plus on both of my dogs, no fleas ever since. We washed EVERYTHING (sheets, clothes, etc.) and bombed every room in our house - then cleaned & vacuumed well. He has been flea-free ever since that horrible weekend! |
