Any suggestions

My Mika has ring worm. He got it from the breeders kennels. We are treating it but because of it we can't take him to the groomer. Can anyone help with grooming tips. Because of his puppy hair he seems to be getting many matts. What tools work the best? How often to you give your baby a bath? What do you clean ears with? I know, lots of questions. But everyone is always so helpful!
Thanks a bunch

![]() | Have just given my pups (15 weeks old) second haircut. First attempt with Wahl electric clippers wasn't very successful - they were terrified by the noise, although I did try to get them used to it before even approaching them with it. So gave up after two attempts at putting clippers near them - you'd have thought it was a chain saw! Second attempt today, much better again ran the machine for a good five mins before even getting close to them so that they heard the noise and got used to it. Results were quite successful. Also approached using the scissors on their coats - again snipping air to begin with to get them used to the sound, then gentle snipping on their coats. Now they look much neater and it will be easier to shampoo and dry them. Have bathed them twice since they arrived four weeks ago, they enjoyed the warm water, but not the sound of water gushing. They'll get used to it. It's been necessary to bath them because I take them to muddy moorland to walk twice a day, so they get pretty filthy! Cleaned ears with soft cotton cloth and warm water, being very gentle indeed. Hope Mika is soon right as rain! |
