Well here is my story. My daughter wanted a Yorkie for her 8th Birthday. My ex-husband went to someone he new that had Yorkie's. Anyway my daughter brought her home and from the first few weeks we had her she wouldnt eat and was getting sick alot. I called the person we got her from and she made a few suggestions but nothing really helped. I took her to the vet and they ran some tests. Well we found out that this poor little baby had a liver shunt. It was very heart breaking for me because I had become very attached to her. They said we would have to take her to Madison, WI for the surgery. They said it could get very expensive. Well i decided to go thru with the surgery. It was very difficult she had some complications but she finally made it through. She still doesnt prefer dog food ive tried everything. Even the special food from the vet no luck. So mostly i feed her human food. She loves grilled chicken & cheese. She is only 3.4 #'s and is the sweetist dog ever. She loves to be held. Well to make a long story short she still seems to have alot of health problems. Currently she has been getting me up a least 3 times a night to go pee. I took her to the vet over on Sat. morning and he thought that maybe she had a bladder infection. They proscribed her some amox. and he said by Monday she should be feeling better. Well its Wednesday and she is still getting me up 1-2 times a night. I so afraid to think what else could be wrong. I dont know if she gets me up because she knows she can or because she really has to go. Some people say that if you get up with them thru the night it becomes a habbit for them. Is this true?
