constant scratching

How can I help my dog that scratches constantly? I have tried 10 different foods and 2 types of Benedryl. Any suggestions?

| | Groomed lately?Where is the dog scratching? I just spoke with MY Vet this evening and the question asked was when was the last time she was groomed? Apparently, if the hair in the ears is NOT cleaned out they will scratch from that. Mine wakes me up at night with her scratching. Mainly confined to her ears and her chin. It also may be a food allergy. There are special foods they can be put on from the Vet's office. I'd give that a try.... Has she/he had any blood work done? Someone just told me that scratching comes from if the liver is bad.....but not sure how true THAT is! GOOD LUCK! |

| | If the dog is scratching his or her ears a great remedy is "otibiotic ointment" by Butler, it works for otitis externa associated with yeast and/or bacteria infections. It worked very well for my dog. |
