My yorkie is doing something weird. She makes a movement like is going to vomit, then a weird sound?
she started making a movement like she was going to vomit, but she didn't actually vomit. Then a weird sound come out of her like a snore. What can I do? Is this normal?

 |  Well, from experience, this is normally just their way of clearing their trachea, or windpipe. When you have a woodchip and leaf eater like my male, this sound is only too familiar. My female had kennel cough as a pup and has a weak trachea. She will do this when she runs around after the leaf eater...  I would not be alarmed. If the animal has been to the vet regularly and has been getting its Bordatella shots (kennel cough) then she's most likely just clearing her throat. They also do this when they have a cold. Just keep an eye on her. If it becomes chronic, you should take her to the vet. I hope this helped....Lisa, Lilly & Jesse |
