![]() | Is there any way to put a gate to block him from the door? or gate him in a separate area when you are about to open the door? |

![]() | yeah i would have to get him in the habit to stay in the hallway area when someone walks out but he will bark alot if he dont have a window but i just made a room for them that i will keep open and it has a window he can peek outside of i just dont understand why he does that it is stressful to chase him i think he thinks we are playing with him cause we are running to get him he thinks he is human and he can go out and come home when he wants lol i dont trust him out there alone and he crossed the street today and omg if a car was coming n my mom told me something happend to him i would of been crushed i will try and see if this works thanx =) |

![]() | They key is training him to stay and wait when someone knocks at the door. This is done in stages and can be easily researched online. One thing that completely cured my female is leash walking, twice per day....nice long walks. The running and escape artist behavior is stress-induced and walking really, really helps to alleviate the stress. Good luck. |

![]() | My dog ran awayThis is my first yorkie. Are yorkie's prone to run when they have a chance. She has gotten loose on three occasions when a puppy, but I was lucky as a neighbor came out and of course Holly is almost too friendly and ran to them and I was able to get her. I am very careful now. When my doorbell rings I tell her to sit and stay and then pick her up before opening the door. Please help me with any advice if you can. I do not walk her outside on a leash as she pulls you to death. She is better with it but has a long way to go. |

![]() | omgosh my bingo pulls me outside to i feel like im racing lol he is very nosey bingo and he thinks he can go outside by himself idk why. These yorkies have a strong personality he is very good but this is the only problem i have with him so i put him in a gated area now before I walk out he seems to be ok with it. |

![]() | I have one good leash walker, Lilly, and then there's Jesse. He has to stare everyone down, take on the big dogs, do his show pose as if to say, "Beat it, big guy." It takes forever to walk him in this complex because he has to investigate every movement. We call him "Canine Security." |
