Aggressive Behavior/HELP!!
Posted 10-06-2008 at 07:59 AM by LuPerry
Long story short: I have 2 Yorkies, Rascal (male) and Issy (female). Rascal joined our family about 5 months ago. We've had Issy about 3 weeks. Both are 8 months old. They have played well together & Rascal is SO happy to have a friend. Lately, Issy is showing aggressive behavior toward Rascal (for no reason at all). She will growl loudly and bite him on the neck. He is much smaller than Issy, so I'm worried she will hurt him. We have separated them to try to keep peace. I thought of the jealousy thing, but we give equal attention to both of them. WHAT IS GOING ON?? Any advice would be welcomed. I am SO glad to have found this site!!

![]() | they are trying to find out who is the boss of the gang.Sometimes we over react,it sound terrible ,but it really is not. As long as there is no blood shedding,i would just let them play, for the growling pick her up and say not,bd girl ,but dont put her away.alot of times that just makes it worse. And believe me a yorkie holds a gruudes for a long time.they are not as fragile as you think they are.there are many oppions about that |
