![]() | Hi there, Yorkies are sometimes difficult to housebreak. I have an 11-year old who still has accidents from time to time. I buy doggie wee wee pads at Petsmart and they have a slight scent of doggie wee wee on them so it is a good start. Once you can get her to go on the wee wee pad, then you can start moving it towards the door that you want her to use to go outside. The last thing I do is put another wee wee pad outside on the grass and with time, she will get the message. Remember, a lot of praise when she does it on the wee wee pad or outside and when she does it on the floor, don't yell or make a big thing about it or she will think that is what she is supposed to do...a firm "no" is all you need to say if you can catch her in the act. Hope this helps, Liz |

![]() | Hello I can undertsand your frusteration. I am having a positive experience with Bigos and potty training. He had some accidents at the beginning but now He is 5mths and never goes inside the house, well except if we forget to let him out. The main thing is consistency...every hour on the hour you have to let her out. When you see signs of her wanting to pee take her out. All the new smells outside should encourage her to pee outside but it will take time. I wish you luck. Aneta |
