Allie had her puppies!

Saturday (June 28th) my yorkie Allie gave birth to four healthy puppies (three boys and one girl)
. The birth went really well and I was relieved, as it was the first time I ever helped deliver puppies. The puppies are adorable! I can't wait until they open their eyes and can start playing! Rudy, my other yorkie is the father and i feel guilty because we have to keep him away from the puppies as instructed by the vet. He isn't used to being kept from Allie, but we let him see the puppies so he would know what was going on. Although I really don't think he would hurt the puppies, I've heard its not a good idea to let the father around the puppies until they are older, and Allie actually seems defensive towards him around the puppies. Anyways, just wanted to share my joy and excitement at the birth of my beloved yorkshire's puppies!
