Dental Costs

We have a 8 1/2 year old male Yorkie, very happy and healthy. Our vet is quoting $225 for a basic dental plus another $140 for blood work for a total of $365. They also tell me that because he is over 8 years of age, he is considered a "senior" and requires a more indepth blood test.

That price is up 50% over their price 2 years ago. This seems excessive to us.

Any thoughts?
