My Yorkie is about 6 months old and he goes into his crate fine during the day while I am at work. We play with him all night and then when we go to bed he will not sleep. We are up all night. He barks and pees/poops during the night. During the day he holds his bowels in the crate and is potty trained in the evening. He thinks day is night and night is day. Any suggestions on how to fix this. He will not go into the crate at night.
We love him to death but it is wearing us thin. This is all new to us. Let me know if you have any tricks.
Thanks!
Krystal

![]() | I had almost the same problem. I have three yorkies 6 months and under and we also put them in crates at night. They would bark constantly so one night I covered the crates with a bed sheet. I also make sure they have a bone to chew on. They have stopped barking and now sleep perfectly at night. When the blanket goes over their crates they are silent for the whole night. |

![]() | That is interesting. I haven't tried the bedsheet idea. Did they still bark for awhile at first? Or were they good immediately. |

![]() | They stopped immediately. It was like they knew it was bed time. I really suggest you try it and hopefully it works! Good luck! |
