He loves his potty pad?!

I need help... I'm trying to potty train Oscar using the crate training method, but because I work he's home for about 5 hours on his own. He's locked in a spare bathroom with crate, pad, water, toys and tv noise. 80% of the time he's going on the pad. Great.
NOW he refuses to go outside. He's held it all afternoon and overnight, gone on a long walk in the morning and then come inside and gone on the carpet! I've tried putting the pad outside, but he just lays down on it.
Please help me wean him from the potty pad!

 | hi i have one of my yorkie girls just like this except i,m home all day with my 3.i open the door we all go outside then i come back in abbys wee,d on the kitchen floor so i have to put pads down too.she will be a year old on nov 19th. i would love to hear what anyone suggests as well.she does wee when we go for walks and if i stay outside long enough but at this time of year its no fun standing in the freezing rain. |
