Just wondering how many YT'ers are asian. I'm Thai/Chinese/Japanese asian mutt. My Sango is a purebred tho! :D Hehehe :aimeeyork

i am. i'm 100% chinese. though it may not seem like it. i have a hard time speaking the language and reading it is a JOKE. i was born and raised in florida so i'm VERY americanized.. but being chinese is pretty cool too. haha

I'm 100% chinese. I speak chinese fluently with a Southern American accent. Reading and writing is very very limited. Been in the US since I was 2 years old.

k3teejay: My family lives in Palm Beach, FL. I was there last year for my cousin's wedding at the PGA National Golf course. I was born in USA also. I speak Thai, but still slowly learning cantonese. I mean S-L-O-W-L-Y. :)

I'm 3/4 Chinese and 1/4 Vietnamese. Within the family, we speak Vietnamese because my grandpa and grandma raised my mom in Vietnam.

I'm 100% chinese although I was born and raised in Indonesia. I'm multi-lingual, I suppose, though I'm not that good... I can understand Chinese mandarin and hokkien, never know how to read or write... Then I moved to Singapore, where I learned British English and Malay... and now resides in US...
My furkids only understand English :D

I'm Vietnamese too! Both of my parents are Vietnamese and I was born in Indonesia but raised in California, total valley girl. I speak the language with an American accent. :wub:

I'm not Chinese, but my daughter is. She is from the Jiangxi Province, we adopted her on Dec 3, 2003. We plan on taking her for Chinese classes, so that she can speak the language as well. She has given us a greater appreciation of the culture & the people. She is now 2 1/2years old & a true Chinese Beauty.

I just came back from a visit to Thailand last month. I was in Bangkok for 3 weeks visiting family & friends. While I was there I was looking to get a Yorkie also, but didn't have enough time to meet up with breeders. Doh me!

I'm Thai but borned in Washington, DC. I was raised back and forth in DC and Bangkok. I'm the only one here, the rest of my family is in Thailand. Winston is my first Yorkie.

I'm 100% Taiwanese. Speak and read Chinese fluently.

Since I still live at home with my parents (& my brother), they speak Chinese to Aggie. Thus, even though she's purebreed, she's "grasping" Chinese.

I'm 100% Chinese living in Hong Kong at the moment, but still trying to get into the hang of things. Been raised in Canada since I was 2 years old, just moving back here was culture shock!!!

I am also half korean and half caucasion. I was born in Korea. My father was in the Air Force. We lived in Korea and Okinawa. I moved to SoCal when I was twelve. ;)

"Hapa" is actually "Hanpa". One translation is half or partial (I'm pretty sure it is anyways. If not it makes me sound intelligent so there!). So you're one too huh? Isn't it great? I love being 1/2 Asian! It's a great excuse to carry around a camera all the time, watch anime cartoons and be a little nerdy or weird! I'm also known as the crazy dog lady who has a booster chair for the girls in her car and talks to them like they understand and will answer (which of course they do), and in general love them more than any humans out side of my immediate family.

My kids are part Filipino. I don't know the %age, My father in law was 1/2 Filipino 1/2 Mexican. So that would mean my husband would be 1/4? So what would that make my kids?
