Petzlife Gel, I'm confused, Is it safe? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

I have been reading reviews about how well Petzlife Oral Gel works. I ordered some and it is on its way but now I'm concerned. I was reading older posts (2005-2006) on YT about it and a few people were saying that they think there is an ingredient in it that takes care of the tartar that is not good for dogs. I know that they were just guessing but how do we know that it is safe (besides the company saying so)?

I have been using it for about a year. I use the spay and Buddy has the
whitest teeth with no tartar at all. Just follow the instructions and you
should be fine. Lot's of member's use it and to my knowledge no one
has had any problems. If they have I would like to know about it too.
I would highly recommened it. I wouldn't want to pay $400.00 and put
Bud under unless it was an emergency just to clean teeth when I can
do it for $23.00. Of course you have to brush every day as well.
I love Petzlife and am thankful I found it.

i use it on morgan and haven't had any problems. i've never read anything bad about it. those posts are here on yt? i'll go look.

It was a product made by Petzlife. I think it is called Life for Teeth or something. I guess it is the same thing.

i went and looked at some earlier posts and found posts by ME saying that it couldn't possibly work or be good for them.

i retract those statements. LOL

it does work. i've seen excellent results with morgan and in pictures of other dogs.

I do not believe there is anything in it that is harmful. I've been using it on morgan for months and months and have never seen a side effect.

i use both the spray and gel of petzlife. i brush sammy's teeth with a finger brush with the gel at least 5 days a week and the other couple of days i use the spray. his teeth have gotten so much better and he had quite a bit of tartar on his teeth when i bought him at 14 months. he is now 2 years & 2 months and his teeth are 99% tartar free. he evens knows when i am going to do it, cause i do it just before we go to bed and he lays on his back so i can have easy access !
