| ![]() Hi, Here's my new baby. I don't have a name for her yet. She is 14weeks and almost a lb. Unfortunately, the breeder will not let me have her until she is a bit bigger. Can you tell if she will have the same coat as her parents? I know they start off dark and lighten up. I'm hoping she has thick, silky hair like mom and dad. |

| ![]() I don't think you really know what kind of coat they're going to have until they're about 6 months old. That first puppy coat can be deceiving. After a groom or two, I think you'll know better what it will look and feel like. Yorkie puppies are born mostly black, and get more of their tan as they grow up. Emma's about 15 months old and doesn't yet have all of her tan. It gets more and more tan with each haircut, though!

| ![]() I'm no expert but it kinda looks like her coat is pretty light for as young as she is...so maybe she will have the lighter coat like her parents. Not sure about the texture because there is just no way to be totally sure when they are that young. her parents are absolutely beautiful!! I'm sure you will have one stunning pup there... so she is 14 weeks and only 1 lb? wow...TINY!!! when does the breeder speculate that she will be big enough to go home?? any ideas? I know you must be going crazy waiting. but it is best for the pup...so i am glad you and breeder are both being cautious.

| ![]() The parents are beautiful and your puppy is adorable! I know you just can't wait to get her! How big does the breeder want her to be before she can go home? One pound is so tiny! It's pretty likely that the puppy will have a coat similar to the parents (both mom and dad seem to have a similar silk coat with similar colors). If your breeder knows their lines and all the dogs in their lines have similar coats like this, then your puppy will definitely have that type of coat too. However, if there are dogs with cottony coats somewhere in the lines, there is a chance your puppy could have a cottony coat.

| ![]() hi pepe, she is hoping in 3 weeks or so, but she has monitored her weight very closely since birth and doesn't think she will grow much in 3 weeks. she just wants to make sure everything is ok because she is so tiny. |

| ![]() i would ask her myself, but i feel like i'm bothering her with so many questions. i feel a bit embarrassed, but she has been really nice. it's a sunday, and i figure i would give her a break from the constant barrage of questions. |

| ![]() She sounds like a very responsible breeder! You are very lucky to find her. She is so tiny and cute. Do you have a list of names you want? |

| ![]() i like double names like: LuLu GiGi DeeDee She wants me to let her know what the name of the puppy will be, so she can start calling her by her name, but I can't seem to come up with one that I really like. Any suggestions? |

I also like: Dori Anna Bebe Maybe you should call her 'Tini, like a Martini since she's so little! Or, Cosmo?
