My female yorkie had some really dark stool yesterday and it looked kind of reddish and bloody. She had this once before so I thought I would monitor her. Well last night she woke up and vomitted and I noticed some little specks of blood in her vomit. She is not lying around and acting sick, she is running around and being normal. I am going to take her to the vet just in case but has anyone elses yorkie experienced this?

Could be giardia, lots of us on here have babies that are treating for it.

I don't know what it is, but it does sound serious. I hope it all gets resolved soon.

Sounds like a parasite lite giardia or coccydia. The vet can give them meds to clear it up but definatley take her in or take in a stool sample.

Would I have to treat my other dog as well? Im wondering if I should take in a stool sample from each of them,even though the other one isn't showing any symptoms.
