What are the symptoms of a dog getting close to her heat cycle?

What would be some of the symptoms of my yorkie getting closer to her heat cycle? She's been a lot more aggressive this pass week. Just curious. thanks!

Aggressiveness can be a symptom and sometime appears 3-5 weeks before they come in to heat. She may mount other animals, stuffed animals and/or pillows. And of course, the swelling of the vulva, followed by a bloody discharge.

These are a few I could think of.

also she will clean her vulva more often and if she is around other dogs they will be following her around sniffing and licking her vulva...and if she pee they will pee over it...

other dogs knows weeks before the actually bleeding...and will show alot more interest in her...and she will be more agressive and possessive with anything from food, bed, you and everything in between.

She has a 4 month old puppy that follows her around constantly and sniffs/licks her vulva. She is more protective over us and her food too. I didn't expect her to have another heat until August. This is a surprise...
