| ![]() Anyone have any ideas how to keep the neighborhood cats from using flowers beds as their litter boxes? We've spent a lot of time the last few weekends doing my friends yard. Weeding, mulching, planting flowers and all the cats keeping pooping in it. Is there something that you can do or put in your yard to keep them out of it?

| ![]() I have that problem too. I go to Sams or Coscto or someplace like that and buy the BIGGEST container of cayenne pepper or any red pepper (dry) and sprinkle it on the bed every day. After a while, they get tired of the pepper up the nose and quit using the beds. Of course, you have to reapply whenever you water/or it rains. But it will break the cycle and then perhaps they will not use it even when the pepper it not down.

| ![]() i asked our city the same thing since our dogs kept chasing the cats out of our yard but they were chasing them into the neighbors yard by digging and they kept calling the animal control on them so as they were complaing i said why dont they have to keep their cats out of my yard? and they said you can get legal cat traps and i guess it catches the cat without harm and then you call the animal control and they either contact the owner or they go to the pound which is not the best option at all but hey i told my neighbor i was going to and she said well fine then i will kepp my cats inside and i said well im not being rude but you started and now im solving it i didnt do it but hey i dont know what she did but i havent seen her cats and my dogs havent been swimming in her pool lately ![]() put other than that i have no idea i know my mom is allergic to cats and she works in her garden and she gets nasty ring worms and such from these cats and she has been looking for a solution to so if you find one let me know and ill let her know about the cayenne pepper

| ![]() There is a gel substance that my stepmom used to use when she lived in town. She had tons of flowers and many neighborhood cats. It worked really well. It's funny, because after she married my dad (she was my MIL before that), she started feeding a couple strays and had a couple families of of cats that she fed 2xday with good food and canned milk. She still had flowers but they never bothered them. I'l try to find out what the gel was. It looked llike little chunks of jello but didn't disolve.

| ![]() We have used both the humane traps and cayenne pepper. We still have one cat that we can not stop. My neighbors little girl calls it the evil cat. Its very mean and has mange. It will walk the edges of the walll and tease everyones dogs. Its also killing and eating alot of the wild birds we feed. |
