| Anyone out there have any experience with Weimaraners? I think they are so pretty! I've read they have a tremendous hunting instinct and like to hunt small furry animals, which gives me pause. Lexy is only 2 lbs. and a Weim might think she is prey!

| Weims are active dogs . They are retrievers as the Labrador and Golden . If taken as a puppy , he'll be use to your dog , but its up to you to decide . |

| I've heard they're really aggressive, but I think I only have that in my mind because of the movie "Best in Show"

| I have a friend that used to have wiemers. They are good dogs but have a VERY high prey drive. They are also prone to skitsofrenia (spelling), In order to have one with very small dogs I would reccomend some serious obedience training. And getting one as young as possible. |

| Yeah that personality disorder is what I was going for. My mind isn't working all too well I just got up. I dont live that far away from you. And in fact I will be doing the training that I have to in the chicago area so we should get together when I have all the dates of my training worked out. Memphis and the new puppy will be with me when I go. Not positive what store I will be doing all the training at yet either but I will let you know when I find out all the rest of the details. |

| Weimaraners are wonderful dogs. My boyfriends brother had one, but his wife got pregnant and since "Louie (the Weim) was still a pup and not entirely trained he was too out of control for them. He was a really good dog, but his wife is really little and he was a puppy in a huge body and would pull her down the stairs if she tried to take him out. They found him a wonderful home as a farm dog, he runs free and has some kiddies to play with! But he grew up around Baby and with many watchful eyes they could play together pretty well. He did not seem like much of a hunter, just a big baby. But from that one experience i would say they seem like wonderful dogs, and are of course absolutely beautiful! |
