| ![]() PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE refridgerate those treats! Some ingredients used in homebaked treats (like cheese) can spoil and become moldy if they are not kept cool! We don't want ANY of those babies getting sick SO PLEASE REFRIDGERATE treats!! You may return to your regular scheduled posting now"!

| ![]() That is great advice! I learned the hard way and felt like such a dolt -- I knew they were all natural ingredients with no preservatives but still put them in the treat jar. Of course, they molded! I was fortunate to have only fed a couple to the dogs and then I guess I forgot them for a couple of days. When I opened the jar, they had mold allover them! Sometimes those evil sounding preservatives are not such a bad thing afterall. ![]()

| ![]() That is great advice for the majority of home-made treats that are baked like regular cookies and contain ingredients that normally spoil. I would go one step further and recommend that people who make home-made treats include ingredient labeling AND information about whether or not refrigeration is required. |

| ![]() I wanted to add: I have ordered numerous homemade treats for all sorts of places. Since Mojo is so picky, we sample them and what he doesn't like goes in a ziplock, w/ a label for the "big dogs". The ones he likes, will go into their own ziplock w/ his name and then they all go in the fridge. I have never had a problem w/ them - any of them. A lot of times, there are no labels w/ ingredients (but I have read them on the sites, etc) ....and w/ there being no label, there is no way of knowing if they should be refrigerated or not. (unless I have asked) - BUT for some reason, I have always refrigerated baked home-made treats after I have gone through them --- strange, I know. Alycia - we haven't had a problem w/ your treats - course, they are all gone now. But, I divided and ziplocked and put in the fridge from the get go. They were DE-LISH!!!!! Thanks and I can't wait for my next order!!!! --er, I meant, Mojo's next order!

| ![]() For those of you that actually make and sell the treats its always a good idea to protect yourself and your customers by including a label stating "refrigerate after opening", JMO ![]() ![]() I know many people already knwo to do this but I didnt the first time and I need that simple reminder, lol.

The ones I make haven't gotten moldy for up to 2 months after they are baked. I store them for Max and Abbie in airtight containers and they are fine but I don't have cheese or meat in mine, either. Any homebaked treats with meat or cheese should definitely be refrigerated.
