| ![]() We just got our first doggie ever. He is a lot of fun and we love him so much. He's 14 weeks old and weight only 1 pound 12 ounces. I'm very worry because he does not eat well. The only think he eats is Moist and Meaty (the vet give to me on the last visit along with Hill Prescription Diet). He eats the Hills P. Diet when I force him. Meaning I hold him and put some on his lips, then he eats juts a little bit. The Moist & Meaty he eats but I'm afraid that does not have the entire nutrient needed for a puppy. I tried dry food like: Iams, Hill Science Diet, Al'Roy, Prestige, Aukanuba and soft food: Hills Science Diet, Cesar’s and Hill Prescription Diet. Please Help! Oh, I have tried all of the above dry foods with boiled chicken (breast), milk and water. |

| ![]() He is a tiny one, isn't he? Sorry he's not eating well. I must say though, he may be a little upset with all the changes. I'd stick with the one he likes best and maybe supplement. There are some other YTers who know best what to add to his diet, but my thought is to keep it steady until he gets used to everything. Have you tried soaking some of the dry food with water or formula? I'd check with the breeder where you bought him to see what he was eating there and that might help. Best of luck to you. Keep some Nutrical around in case his sugar gets low. |

| ![]() Gracie goes through spells where she won't eat. She did that quite a bit after I first brought her home at 8 weeks. I supplemented her with Nutrical. They hava a Nutrical puppy formula now. Eventually, she started eating. Of all the puppy food, she likes the wet Ultra Puppy (I believe it is Natural Choice) or ProPlan. The others she could care less about. She still prefers wet to dry, but I mix them together about 50/50 and she eats it. I also stir in a bit of shredded cheese to interest her if needed. Good luck and have fun with your little one!

| ![]() Welcome to YT!! And i agree with everyone...stick with the one he likes...and try adding a little bit of soft food to it..see if that works..thats what i had to do with my wyatt...i put the wet food in the bowl first then the hard food...then eventually he just started eating the hard food...i understand cause i was scared at first too...cause he wasnt eating..but it just takes time and nutrical..for his blood sugar!!! I actually bought 2 tubes at first..thats how scared i was!!! But ![]()

| ![]() Some people will think me nuts but I feed my babies a small variety. I have picky eaters. I have found what they like best is 'Little Caesars's'. Here is what I do... I give a small amount of caesars, cut up in tiny bites, then I put on the hard dog food. (I use both the new 'Iams Toy' and Royal Canin "Yorkshire Terrier". I mix them up together and put into a container.) Then I put a very small amount of finely shreaded cheese on top. Then I put a little little bit of either chicken or beef broth on top and mix it all. This is my babies morning food. Now remember just a little of everything. They can't resist. Also, whenever I make ground beef I make extra and save in a container. I do this also with chicken and rice too. These are what I make their evening meal with. They like a little variety just like we do. I buy that Swansons broth that you can just take a little out at a time. They love it. The Little Caesars comes in a great variety of flavors too. Mine like the Filet Mignon, Chicken with Liver and Pork Tenderloin the best. I have three dogs, my two yorkies and a giant 13 lb long hair chihuahua. They all think they are humans don't like the same old blah thing all the time. Good Luck ![]() ![]() |
