I just spent two hours brushing grass out of whiskey's coat!!! i'm getting carpal tunnel

I let her out to go potty and when she came back in five minutes later she was covered in some type of sticky grass seeds. They are bright green with pale white sticky fuzz and triangle shaped. They aren't very big-smaller than a green pea and when you squeeze them it looks like a baby green black-eyed pea comes out. i looked at the foxtail posts and that's not what it is. Funny thing is I don't have clue where she is getting them from since i mowed my yard this past weekend-practically scalped it and i don't have any weeds that I know of. It took me forever-I covered her in cowboy magic and used my c.c. brush and then washed her and brushed her down again. She is as wore out as I am...she is all snuggled up in her warm towel sleeping in my lap.

If any of ya'll have any clue what type of weed this is please let me know so I can put out some preventative. I am trying to grow her coat and it seems like I have to brush these things out every night plus I am worried she might eat them or something.

I have found sitting Giz in the tub of warm water when they're bad enough and lightly working my fingers in his hair releases them and he doesn't have to go thru the pulling process. This also works on the little round burr looking things he picks up when we take walks.

Geez!!! I don't know a clue what that could be!!!!!!! It sounds like you've had your hands full trying to get it out, though!

What kind of grass is it? It's not foxtail grass I hope! That can be very dangerous for dogs. That only came to mind because I can't imagine a grass that would stick like that. Is it like stickery? I guess you will probably have to try hand picking it off of him. I just don't know what to say.
