| Hi, Im so excited about having puppies and it will only be in a few more weeks. My problem has been choosing a scale and now it looks like my time is running out. Any suggestions on where I could order a good one. I found many I could order but unsure which to get. I need one to weigh the babies when first born and the older dogs too. Should I get two? Oh and by the way my baby is so sweet now. She wants to be hugged all the time and thinks she is special(she is anyways). She has even started being nicer to our other females but since shes the alpha female I dont think that will last.Lol. thanks for any input .....yorkiegma |

| Try your local post office they sell scales sometimes... A food scale with bowl or pan works too... That is what I used to keep track of the growth of the pups I have bought. Just make sure they go up as high as you need/can also be used to keep track of adults weights.... |

| Zellars has a scale from Alfred Sung, about $30. You will have to place the the bowl on the scale, then turn the scale on and the place pups in the bowl. It will register the pups weight and not the bowls. It also weighs in anything from lbs. to oz, to grams...

| I just bought a baby/pet scale off of ebay. Works wonderfully. I previously had an electronic food scale from Wal*Mart but, it only weighs to 5.4lbs. The one off of ebay is awesome and I got it in 3 days. It shipped from Oklahoma to Wisconsin perfectly. Good Luck! |

I set a cake pan on top of it to weigh them. You could velcro it to the top. | |

| I went to the local hardware store and picked one up for $3.00. It is just a little food scale. You could also pick one up at the grocery store or a wal-mart or something. It is what the diabetics (and dieters) us to measure their portions. I would try there first. I do have a bigger scale for when they get a little bit bigger that I got from Jeffers (I think) but Petedge.com also has a lot of this type of stuff. Along with tons of affordable doggy pretties.

| I couldn't find any scales at the local pet stores. You'd have better luck with an office supply store. But ebay has loads of them for reasonable prices. |
