My baby has half of her nails white. Two nails in each paw is white and the others are black. Is there anythin wrong with this?

I read about whit nails. The standard is black. Coujld it mean that they cdarry the piebald gene? Ollie has one white nail.

I had a poodle with white nails....so much easier to clip them...you could see where to stop.....(I consider that a Bonus Trait!)

I have asked this before, but,,hmmm don't remember the answer,, Bailey has a few also.

Stewie has a couple, too. He also has a little white on his chin. Someone said that if they have white on them, it means they will have a full silky coat as adults and Stewie does.

I think it just means they're missing a little pigmentation.

I have read that "white nails" in a Yorkie are undesireable (can't be shown, etc.) ..... but really - if your Yorkie is a pet - who cares!

White nails are considered a fault, but we can't all be perfect, right? It doesn't indicate any other health problems though so who really cares. They are easier to clip because you can see the blood line.
