I was reading '277 Secrets Your Dog Wants You to Know' and came across this:

The Tragedy of the Dog and the Diaper

The unexpected and unnecessary death of any dog is a horror, but an especially sad case occurred in Pennsylvania. Many dogs are naturally attracted to soiled diapers, as was one bassett hound who accidently ingested a small amount of a disposable diaper.

The dog vomited up some of it, but the rest remained in his body, spewing out toxins. He lingered for three and a half months before dying.

The owner wrote to Dog World that when she contacted the diaper manufacture to inform them of what happened, they sent her a leaflet and some coupons so she could purchase more diapers from them!

That is so terriable! The company should have done anything else other than sending coupons for more diapers from them!

thats so sad but why didnt the owner take the dog to the vet?

That must be a basset hound thing...My sister has a basset, and she is always eatting diapers and things...it is NASTY!
