| ![]() Hi, For those of you who are full time workers, how did you settle your pup into being home for 8 hours a day? Tino has been going to my mum's house since he was a puppy while we have been at work but he is now 99% potty trained and I think he's ready to be left at home. So how did you guys go about doing this? We plan to let him have the roam of the kitchen and living room, he'll have food down and the TV on, we'll also go home on lunch to see him and have a little play. Any other suggestions? Thanks |

| ![]() I have 3 dogs. My two older and bigger dogs roam the house and I leave there water/food bowl out plus a kong or bully stick. I also leave the TV on in the bedroom for them and open the blinds in the bedroom so they can look out inot the yard. Holly(my yorkie) I leave her in her pen with her kennel in it. I put 2 wee-wee pads in it also bc she cant hold her bladder that long. All her toys are in there plus food/water and a kong.

| ![]() I had Trixie home by herself all day when she was 16 weeks. I had her in a kennel at first, but then I opened up the whole kitchen for her (closed off with baby gates). She has all of her toys, and water and food of course. Trixie is potty trained to go outside, so she holds it all day. I recently started feeling really bad, because she'd be shaking by the time I got home. So when my husband isn't home, I'm driving home really quick during the day now (it only takes me about 15 min. but I'm in a job where we don't really have lunch breaks...) and take her out for a potty break at noon. It makes me feel a lot better, and I'm sure she feels better too ![]()

| ![]() Debbie stays in the kitchen when no one is home because we have an alarm system. I think she sleeps most of the time though. She has her pad in there along with her food, water, and her little doghouse bed. I used to take her to my parents while I was working until they got in trouble. No pets allowed there. Won't your mom miss her little visitor if you don't bring him over there? |

| ![]() I used to let Alfie have the freedom of downstairs and Lottie was in her crate in the kitchen ,but now they both free in the downstairs of the house and we go home at lunchtime ,sometimes more often depending in what hours my husband is working. They seem to spend the time we are not there sleeping ,but your little one may miss yur parents since he is so used to them being there. My mum and dad also pop in sometimes as they used to look after Alfie a lot before I got Lottie , as they miss his company.Hope you get on alright.

| ![]() Ok, I left him at home this morning and I've just been home on my lunch hour to give him some food and play with him. There is no mess ANYWHERE - which is BRILL! I think he has been asleep most of this morning though so I'll see what he's like when we get back. He was so happy to see us at lunch and I felt so bad leaving him on his own again! ![]() We're at puppy training tonight so he'll get loads of attention and treats - yeah!! ![]() |

| ![]() 99% of the time, if we leave the house, Oscar goes with us. When he is left at home he is placed in his crate with a nylabone. In the past, when left out in the house, he has gotten into trouble. He thinks he is in charge of rewiring things has he has chewed a couple of wires to point of having them replaced ![]()

| ![]() We crate our during the day. They are still pretty young and while they are 90-99% potty trained they are not 90-99% house broken, meaning they still chew on things when we're not watching and can get into trouble. At least one of us goes home at lunch. We let them out to potty and to play for 20-45 minutes depending on our work schedule for the day. They aren't crated for more than 4-5 hours at a time and we haven't had any in creat accidents since the 2nd week we got them. I think as far as letting them out it's more about how much you trust them in the house than anything. I hope it goes well for you! Goodluck! |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | ![]() I tried leaving Kloey free to roam the house but she left me lil surprises all over the place, so she is in her crate while I'm at work. I have a 3 yr old Husky who is a carpet so she is free to roam but she just lies there and sleeps! I don't think Yorkies can hold there bladder like other dogs can, but I may be wrong, but I know Kloey cant. |
