| ![]() I am totally psyched. I just got off the phone with my mom and found out Eleanor has started using the puppy litter box. She's only 6 weeks old! It's not 100% of course, but I was amazed that she showed any interest in it at all.

| ![]() I am excited about your good news! However, I am even more excited because I was considering getting one and wanted to know if it was worth it. Any tips or advice? Where did you get yours? |

| ![]() Thanks! Well, I would have to check to be sure what brand my mom got. I think it is the Purina kind though. She just bought a bag of the litter though and set up the box a little bit away from where the babies sleep. She didn't buy the dog litter box though since they were so little. The front of it was pretty high for 6 week old yorkie babies. She just found a pan that was small enough for them to get into easily. Before the litter they had paper outside their bed and she just put the box there so when they went exploring they could get to it easily. She says all of them have been going in it at least some of the time and the only one that really showed any interest in eating or playing with it was Elizabeth(mom). Elizabeth really doesn't get that it's a restroom. She still goes outside.

| ![]() Congrats! Thanks for posting.....I am thinking about getting a litter box to do away with pee pads. Mojo goes outside, but he still doesn't potty on his pee pads...so that might be a great alternative!

| ![]() Glad to hear some good news about potty training!! I wanted to go the litter box way, but the hubby didn't think it was a good idea...I wish we would have tried it though. Midori is 6 months and still not potty trained. She goes outside but only about 80% of the time and we still have to watch her like a hawk! I have faith that she will get there soon!.... 6 weeks I can't believe it!! Good Job!! |

| ![]() I had read somewhere that the pee pads were hard for them to get used to because the surface is alot like other things you might have in your house. Whereas, the litter isn't going to resemble alot of things you have around. We had planned to try both, but if this continues to work we have a winner. lol I wish I could take credit for the training but Eleanor isn't here yet. She's still with her breeder (my mom) Congratulations on your soon to be arrival!
