| ![]() Love little boys. I agree that no bows. I lost my yorkie 2 years ago. I baby sat as many dogs as I could but didn't have a yorkie again until after a year. I knew during that year time I wasn't quite ready just because none could compare to my Troy but that was just me. I think everyone grieves a little differently and takes time to heal but having another fur baby in the house always helps a little. I say go for it and since he won't come home until May you have time to prepare and get yourself excited and ready for the thought of pet ownership and companion-hood.

| ![]() I say go for it. As much as you grieve and hurt for your last companion, think about all the good times and the love you shared with her while she was alive. While you will never forget her, that love, IMO, can be there again. Love is not a container that once you use it all up there is no more to give. It is a never ending supply. Once you bring that new pup home a whole new fountain of love will spring up. It's a sad but true fact that in the vast majority of cases we outlive our furry loved ones. I've buried more than one in my life and each one of those days seemed like the worst day of my life. But I can't imagine what my life would have been like if I had stopped after I buried Champ (my 1st mutt). Keep the wonderful memories of your lost friend and go out and make new ones. Good luck with whatever you decide!
