New Yorkie mommy........little 12 week old guy is only 1.5 lbs and such a finicky eater. Plays hard and having to use Nutra cal more than not for not wanting to eat..........worried. Typically feeding slightly moistened ground turkey, rice and Iams chicken/rice x4 daily.

Nutrical has to be followed up with protein or you risk his sugar dropping. Have you tried a better food like Royal Canin or wellness?

Many of the breeders on here recommend Royal Canin puppy food for the first year. You might want to try it, and also supplement with a bit of cooked chicken or turkey. Sometimes sprinkling a bit of parmesan cheese on the food makes it more appetizing for them.

Make sure he has food available all day, even between the 4 feedings. Their tiny tummies can't hold much at one time.

What was the breeder feeding and was he eating that food well? If so, I'd switch back to the breeder's food until this pup is more established/settled/older.
