| ![]() Very safe... actually a nutriceutical (homeopathic) works to enhance the liver function and help remove toxins and regenerate liver cells.

| ![]() It is a good drug...Toki was diagnosed with MVD last year and the vet recommended that I give her Denamarin. I rotate between just milk thistle liquid and the Denamarin (combination of the milk thistle component and SAMe). Her liver enzymes were normal at her vet check up last week which I was thrilled with...not sure if it was solely related to supplementing with the Denamarin/milk thistle but either way, I'm pleased with it. I will say, Toki does better with the milk thistle liquid just in terms of keeping it down. She used to throw up her Denamarin tablet I think because I was giving it before breakfast and waiting at least 30 minutes before feeding her (it's recommended you wait at least one hour before feeding a meal)...for some reason she handled the liquid better. I now try to give it around noon when she doesn't get a meal but will have a relatively empty stomach. Anyway, Denamarin is great...I get mine from VetDepot when they have some sort of deal going on...it is cheaper than getting it through my vet. |

| ![]() My Olivia has been on Denamarin for some time now...her alt was over 2,000 at the time she was put on it and she was also on antibiotics. All of her liver enzymes are normal now and yet we keep her on it. I give it to her at bedtime.

| ![]() I don't have any personal experience with it with any of my dogs but one of the vets I work with has her Westie on it for a liver shunt. She only expected her to live a couple of years and I believe she's going on 9 years old so obviously it's working well. |
