Well, I had to cancel Tatiana's spay because she came into heat again!!!! I am so upset as I did not want to deal with this again. I thought if I got her spayed before her next heat ( which should have been in April) we would not have to go through it ever again. WRONG!!! Now, I have to wait another 3 months before they will do the spay. I didn't want to do it in the summer, because we are outside a lot and it will be harder to keep the incision clean and we go camping! I am just kicking myself because I should have done it in February. They weren't able to get her in until next week so that is why I had to wait so long. GRRRR!!!

Sorry for the rant, but I just needed to vent!

oh I'm sorry you both have to go through it again. Hopefully Tatiana will heal up quickly and bounce back to herself fast so that you can both enjoy the summer.....heat free.

Oh, thank you! I wish I had gotten her fixed sooner. Thinking I still had time. I was told they can come back in heat within 4 months of the last heat. I did not know that!

coulda, shoulda, woulda!!!!! time flies by fast ( as now you know) mark your calendar for the 3 months, tying string on finger never works for me. Spaying is the best thing health wise for your lil girl. Good luck in getting her in on time, the next time.

I am sorry Deb! I can imagine the roller coaster of emotion, too. You finally prepared yourself for it, and now it has to be put off. Hugs to little Tatiana.

Thanks, Kristin! I was all prepared emotionally and just ready to get it done and over with!

Sorry about that-darn. Have you made the next appointment? Why do you have to wait so long after a heat to have the surgery?

They say with all the vascular swelling, it is unsafe to have a surgery. We need to wait until all that is back to normal which takes 2 months after she is out of season.
