| ![]() WHERE: Russells Point area of West Central Ohio. WHEN: Went missing 2/4/14 DETAILS: To make a long story short, we think we knew who had him and the dog warden went there, but from the day they got the notice and actually scheduled him to show up there was 4 days to stash him. We put up flyers, facebook, all over the place. We put it up on craigslist and in the last two days TWO people contacted us saying they were in contact last week with someone selling a yorkie for $250 and USED OUR EXACT PICTURE we were using on the ads and fliers. They were in contact for a bit but said it felt fishy because of the price, and the seller didnt know much about the dogs background. We are trying to get the number they contacted but the one lady said she got rid of it after the sellers stopped returning her calls/texts and just assumed it was sold. In central and west central ohio....if anyone has seen or knows of someone who got a yorkie recently for cheap let us know. We are offereing a cash reward and will even buy the dog back if ya can help us locate whom sold it to you. If you go to facebook and look for Top of Ohio Pet Shelter you will see all the additional information. We currently are working to see what it takes for craigslist to give info on the deleted CL ad that was on there (they said they need subpoena). Thanks for your help and I apologize if this isnt supposed to be on this forum. THanks again.... |

ONe potential buyer was in contact with them for a few days and was wanting to buy him but all of a sudden they stopped responding. She is trying to find the number she called. She says she uses a prepaid phone and does not get a list of calls. The second one saw it and when she talked her husband into buying it the listing was gone off of CL. Believe me, if it is on there we will attempt to buy it. Thanks

| ![]() Try using the wayback machine, I'm not sure if it'll work for craigslist but it's worth a shot. There are a few other cache sites you can try too. I can try to find the ad later, but I'm not home right now and can't do it on my phone. |

OP, have you tried posting a "Looking to Buy a Male Yorkie" post on CL in your area?? I am sure you'd get people climbing out of the woodwork trying to sell you a yorkie in your area and it would take a lot of weeding out, but you may also get the person who's trying to sell your dog. Trying to get CL to give up anything is like pulling teeth!! I am sorry it took you 4 days to get anyone to check out where your dog was. I am sure that had to be super frustrating as well!!

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | ![]() I am from Ohio and live not too far away from R.Point. I remember seeing this on FB . . but can not find it. My sister and I run a Lost Dog page on FB if you would like to share your link. Please be sure to include a couple of photos. https://www.facebook.com/groups/lost...yfurryfriends/ Also there are other local groups in Ohio that will help share your story and search for your pup and if your vet has a FB page I am sure they would share you post as well. I know mine does. https://www.facebook.com/debsdogs.oh https://www.facebook.com/afarlelida Does CL have some sort of archives where you can search recent listings and see she responded to them? Good Luck in your search and getting your pup back. ![]()

| ![]() If you can get one of the people who contacted you to help they may be able to pull up the craigslist ad Find Old Craigslist ads or eBay auction pages within browser | Harmari by LTAS Technologies I can't pull it up with the cache websites. I did find something though and PMed you, I don't want to post it publicly until you've had time to act. |

Wow that's a great little bit of knowledge to have for a situation like this. Hopefully it will help her get closer to finding her dog. Donna was able to find this it (includes photos) : https://www.facebook.com/LostFoundOhioPets

| ![]() Also if you do drive down to check the phone, also see if you can look in the history section of her computer, as Craig's list leaves cookies in the cache, and if you can click on the page in her history, in the network section of her computer, it might also bring up the cached page and you can get the info this way as well :-) if you need any help with knowing how to do this, let me now as I'm a certified computer tech and can instruct you on how to get to the history and pages visited :-) |

this is an excellent idea, for you to post an ad on CL looking for male yorkie willing to pay 300.00 if they were trying to sell for $250. $300.00 would be more appealing to them, also who ever is trying to sell your dog may have seen ads of your lost dog, they may smell a trap now, specially since it was taken off CL... GOD you poor, poor thing, I know what you are going through, I am devastated for you, I think "what if that was my precious baby" I pray you get him back. Please keep us update.
