| ![]() My little cutie patootie has one ear up and one ear flopped down. her floppy ear is just fine, but her upright ear seems dry and possibly infected? If I could avoid a trip to the vet, that would be great! ![]() Any suggestions as to what I could try? -Please delete the duplicate thread, my first time here... still learning!- |

| ![]() Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Has your pup been scratching at her ear? If she does have an ear infection (scratching, odor, dirt like discharge are common signs), there is no home remedy. It is important to see a vet because ear infections can cause loss of hearing, ear canal damage, and more if left untreated.

| ![]() Thanks for the reply, She scratches and it is dry but there is no odour or discharge. She scratches maybe 3-4 times a day, I'm not sure if this is excessive or not. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() A little bit of olive oil would be as good idea. Get some dog version of wild samon oil and feed it to your little one. What type of food are you feeding?

| ![]() Do you mean rub olive oil on the irritated spot? She just finished a bag of Royal Canine Dental which was given to us by the vet, but We are switching her back to RC Yorkshire. |
