Princess has one baby tooth left & it's actually broke off at the tip, she's getting it pulled tomorrow. She had bloodwork done a couple weeks ago, there was a mess up on her last appt. so we missed it otherwise this would be over!

I've just done too much research & heard too many things so now I'm feeling nervous about her going under. I really do trust this vet, they seem so thorough & compassionate and have a great reputation. But I don't even like the idea of a human being put under, it's just scary to me.

So please keep Princess in your thoughts (and me, too.

) and maybe her breath will be better by Christmas, lol. She'll be happy to be spoiled with all canned food for a while.

Princess will be FINE! I was so nervous, too, when Jackson had a tooth pulled as well as a vital pulpoptomy on his canine tooth AND a dental cleaning all at once, LOL.

But he came out of it perfectly fine and was 100% probably two days later!

Good luck Princess! I will be thinking of you and your mommy tomorrow!

The next morning, he was eating his regular food again mixed with wet and I soaked it with warm water. I did that for about 5 days. Now he's okay to eat his regular food again.

My dog Daisy is high risk for anesthesia. She had a dental and a tooth extraction last year when she cracked a tooth. She did fine. While anything can happen, the risk of anesthetic death is less than 1% of 1%. You have a greater risk driving her to the clinic.

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies.

The vet called around 1:30 & said she did great but of course was still pretty sleepy. I can pick her up between 4-6 so I'm leaving soon. Awe, my poor puppy.

Hopefully she'll feel better by tomorrow so she can hang with the fam.

So happy to hear that lall went well. I remember how scared I was when Rylee Belle was spayed (also had baby teeth removed at the same time). She came through it like a champ..........I however, was a mess!!!!

She pretty much slept on an off for the next 24 hours and after that was right back to normal!!!! Have a wonderful Thanksiving tomorrow.........bet you are glad this is all behind you!

Thanks, everyone. She's doing pretty good. I'm busy in the kitchen so she wont lay down, she just keeps standing & staring, lol, it's kinda fuuny. She ate about a TB of canned food. She heard something in the hall & 'ran' for the door-she was leaning waaay to the left the whole time, it was the funniest thing.

She's picked up a few of her balls but then she just stops & stares again like she forgot what she was doing, lol. I'm glad I can smile now about it.

She got a suture so we'll recheck in 2 weeks. They said it probably feels better even now than it did having that tooth in-and her breath should return to it's original kissability soon! :P

This is encouraging. Scooter needs his teeth cleaned and I've been afraid to have it done. I wouldn't know what to do if something happened to him. My husband died 2 weeks ago and Scooter and Bitsy are all I have now. I'm going to talk it over with his vet.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your husband. I'm glad you have your two babies to help you through it.

I think if you get labs done on Scooter he will be just fine.

You can worry like me, come post here, get encouraged, then feel better and it's over before you know it.
