| Pulling back the top of head hair... At what age do Yorkie's get used to this? I have tried repeatedly to put a tiny jaw clip in Oscar's hair and he just hates it! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() That is cute Oscar's Mom - "brainwashing the family", too funny. Honestly, I know Schatzie isn't like thrilled to have her hair bows in each morning but she is "tolerating" it. She has learned that the routine of the day is to get her hair bow in, then we leave for a few hours and come home. Once home, she rolls her back and her head in hopes to get the bow out herself. I usally give in and take it out for her. But her hair is now to the point that it "needs" the hair pulled back or it hangs in her eyes. I am thinking that they get so used to it that it stops bothering them. If not, then they learn to tolerate us humans desire to keep them so cute looking, LOL ![]()

| ![]() Oscars Mom - I didnīt start to put any bows or bands in Ramboīs hair til about one month ago (heīs 10months now) i tried a bit earlier but he just hated it. I left it for ages and then tried again this time giving him a nice treat to occupy him whilst sectioning the hair and putting in the band. As his hair is only short at the front itīs not a neccesity for him but he wants to grow it a bit longer ![]() As i mentioned in another thread - the best bands to use (i find) are the kids ones which are quite small but are soft all the way round without metal. I noticed some of the elastic bands that you find attached to some bows really pull and snag on Ramboīs hair. So maybe try the soft bands to get your Yorkie used to them first Hope this helps - me and Rambo are still a work in progress with the hair thing! ![]() |

| ![]() Bouncer got used to it over time. He has one in everyday now. Just be repetitive. but do take it out every night and never leave it in overnight as this can cause matting and then it has to be CUT out. ![]()

| ![]() Thanks guys...at 5 months, his stubborn streak is still pretty wide! He is very treat motivated (Frosted Cheerios being the treat of choice) so we will go that route. I felt like those tiny jaw clips would work well because they don't pull the hair and I am putting them in pretty loose...but HE knows they are there...I will be persistant and make it an everyday thing and leave them in for short periods and maybe he will come around. I just think a Yorkie with a pretty hairdo is just the "da shiznit"!!! ![]() ![]() Debbie - Oscar's Mom |

| ![]() Oscar's Mom, I love the jaw clip idea. Since Bo is a boy, I had thought about a tiny barrette. Easy to get in his hair too! |

| ![]() Milo's only 11 weeks old and I've started putting bands in his hair. It's still too short for all of it to fit up, but I thought he should start getting used to it now. I use the tiny rubberband for braces.
