| ![]() HEY everyone! I have not been on in a while I have been so busy! Coco is 8 months now and sometimes I get this fishy odor comming from her. I could not figure out what it is until I smelt her behind and it smelt like fish. I did not know what to do but the next day I was taking her to get groomed I have no smelt it since a week ago. Today I smelt it again. I have read a few threads about it but I was wondering if anyone else had more information. I dont know if I should take her to the vet or not?! ![]() |

| ![]() How often do you bathe her? It could be a yeast infection too. I think you should make an appointment to get it check out.

| ![]() My daughter is a vet assistant and we had a cat with a smell like that and she said that they had a dog into the office with that smell and it was a urinary tract infection. Our cat's cleared up without treatment but she said the dog was treated with a simple antibiotic. |

| ![]() I bathe her maybe once a week sometimes a little over a week. I was holding off because I did not want to run her to the vet if it was just because she needed a bath but now that it came back I am going to call the vet tom. Thank you. I hope it is nothing major and can just be cleared with a simple antibiotic. |

| ![]() Maybe your dog might need her anal glands expressed. Have a look to see if your dog is scooting across the floor. I am not a doctor or anything like that. But i will never forget the smell of my dog after having his anal glands expressed.

| ![]() That smell is definitely that the anal glands need to be expressed the vet or the groomer could do it.

I Love Thor Donating Member | ![]() I am so glad you posted about this. Thor had been smelling a little fishy and I thought it was from his omega fish oil, which it could have been, but it was kinda more coming from his butt! I haven't smelt it as bad in the last few days, but this is great info non the less. Thanks Hannah |
