| Hello Everyone, I am here because my Yorkie, Cupcake, who is 6 months old steps in her own poo. She has a play pen area with her kennel and a potty pad. She pees on the pad just fine, but only sometimes poos on it. If she is left alone, she will poo, and step in it as if nothing was there. She is crate trained, and we have tried leaving her in there while she is alone, but she still poos in there there and gets it all in her paws. Just today, my boyfriend showered, and when he came back in the room with her she had already made a mess on herself, and the tile floors. We take her out regularly, but when we do she barely does her business there. And we always say the command go pee pee or go poo poo, and reward her when she does it. We are so frustrated. We tried shrinking her play area, and we have even made it big. We give her a treat when she goes on her pad like a good girl. It is just really getting out of hand because we have to bathe her almost everyday, and she really is not even a fan of them. Does anyone have advice to have her not step in her poo? Anything would help! Thanks! |
