I'm impressed with the dremel!

I took the crew to the vet for pedicures today and it was the first time they used the dremel. I must say, I was impressed! One tech held and another trimmed. Maddie Jo was hurt by a groomer last year and now she is extremely touchy of her nails but she did great! Peanut's nails are so tiny that I'm scared to do his and Moo doesn't mind too much but she's squirmy so it takes a while to clip hers.

I was so proud of my little crew for behaving so well with this being their first time with the dremel. The techs were very good with them, it went fast, no one whined or squirmed and $16.00 each wasn't bad.

I think I bought a dremel a while back but was afraid to use it. Now that I've seen it done it doesn't look hard...I better look through my grooming supplies because from now on their nails will be done with the dremel...no more clippers here!

I do all seven of my dogs at home with a dremel. I started using it with my first IG because with the clippers I was afraid of breaking one of her legs or cutting the quick wrestling with her. I've never gone into the quick with the dremel. I MUCH, MUCH prefer it to clippers.

Oooh...I really like the dremel now! Moo just came down the hall and 'appeared' next to me in my office and I didn't even hear her on the wood floors! Not much to some, I know, but for me that means I get to sleep through her trips down the hall for a drink during the night

I love how short and even and smooth the dremel gets Levi's nails - but he HATES the sound it makes!! He totally freaks out when the groomer tries to dremel his nails (it's only been successful with him once). So we stick with regular nail clippers. But I agree, dremeled nails are a world of difference!
