Yorkie Yakker | ![]() I seem to have ALOT of questions to post on YT ![]() ![]() My little princess doesnt want to eat too good, and though Ive had her at the vet, and they say there is nothing wrong but the fact that she is trying to be a picky eater. Well, I dont want to give her anything else but puppy-kibble, cause thats what she had at her previous owner (the breeder aswell) Tilly was put in a "playpen" 3times a day an hour each so that she will eat a lil bit, Well Im thinking of doing this now, and was wondering is this a good idea or Not? And what do I need to do to make this? I live in a place with little petshops or department stores that caters for dogs. (Arab country not believing in keeping dogs) ![]() ![]() ![]() What do I need to put in it? It will basiclly be only for her to eat in Last edited by Talida Baker; 07-18-2010 at 07:45 AM. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() maybe try a little shredded boiled chicken in with her kibble. Brielle was very picky when she came home, so we gave her wet food with the chicken and left the kibble down all day. Aftr a few weeks she went to the kibble on her own. I still give her some wet food 2xs a day. Just try what ever you can to get her to eat, what ever works ![]()

| ![]() Have you tried Nutri-cal, it can help to stimulate their appetite. You could order it online if you have no pet supply near you. If she is used to being in a playpen to eat, I would give it a try, just food and water. How old is she? How much does she weigh? If she is small, they really don't eat very much at a time. Instead they eat several small meals all day. I would definitely get some nutri-cal, and keep it on hand, as it can really help at times like these. |

| ![]() Just had to sneak over to your profile to see pics of Tilly. She has the cutest little face! Anyway, if you want a play pen and you can't find a "dog" one locally, you could use a "human" one instead. I have a playpen, or ex-pen, that is made for human infants. It does the job very well. If it's just for eating I would use fewer panels, place her food and water in there and allow her time to eat. Always keep water available for her outside the pen. Running and playing can make a pup thirsty. ![]()

I adopted a one year old who is innately shy. It has taken what seems like forever to get him settled and opening up with me. He started playing with me only, even with other doggies in the house. Now he's got little friends that he runs to when he sees them. If you haven't had her long, just give her time. It takes a while for them to adjust.

I fed him in his pen too. There were 2 greedy dogs that belonged to the other people living with us, and the pen was the only place I could put him where the other dogs wouldn't steal his food.
