Anyone ever use Missing Link and if so what are your thoughts on it. I have used it periodically and don't know if it is a waste of money. Can't decide if it really made a difference. Thanks for your input.

I'm in the same boat as you, I have used it now and again and can't tell if it is really working. I now use Salmon Oil and a multivitamin in their food. I'd like to hear what people say too!!

When I first joined Yorkietalk, everyone was recommending Missing Link. I tried it, and can't say that it made any difference, its main ingredient is ground flax seed, and I'm a great fan of ground flax seed for a variety of reasons. We used the Missing Link for a long time, and later changed to just ground flax seed, since I use that too. He does have a great coat, but I don't think it has much to do with the flax seed, I believe that it's due to genetics.

Ive used it and didn't really see a difference. Im with nancy I believe a great coat comes from genetics

I have tried it and agree with the others..I see know big change. I did notice one thing though, that Levi had to #2 more often. It seemed to stop when I took him off of it maybe to much protein for him or something else perhaps.

Thanks everyone. Was going to try it again. Sophie has a nice silky coat and Lola has a cotton coat. Just didn't want to waste any more money. Sophie's coat is fragile and am looking for something to strengthen it. Thanks again, you've been helpful.

Ground flax seed adds fiber, and is really good for intestinal health, but Levi may have not needed it.

I used it several years ago as a supplement when I home cooked for my dogs. With the food I'm feeding now (NV kibble and raw), I don't feel that it is necessary.

Was looking for the best thing for skin and coat health, as well as for bone and joints. I have used fish oil and glucosamine along with ester c, but was hoping for an all in one.
Lola suffered from a broken leg when she was a puppy and is more likely to develop arthritis.

your not going to get as much glucosamine in missing link as you would get giving it separately

I agree with Chachi. An actual glucosamine product is beter. Cosequin (ro now Dasuquin) come highly recommended by vets.
