| ![]() For those of you use cheese for training rewards, which kind do you use? How much total do you feed? |

| ![]() I've given him teeny bites of cheddar. That is the only way I was able to teach "come". It's his favorite!! I'm not sure if cheddar is ok so we haven't given it to him in awhile. I thought your post was going to show pics of your babies like when you tell a kid to say, "cheese". ![]()

| ![]() We use teeny pieces of mozz or american. They're both low fat because that's what we get so I don't know if that's good or bad but it's on a rare occasion. |

| ![]() I give tiny bits of the Sargento light string cheese. Just tiny bites and they don't get it every day.

| ![]() I either use those cheese sticks that come off in strings... or just American cheese from the deli. I only use it when learning a new trick because it's really high-reward for him; he loves cheese. I would say total, it ends up being maybe only 1 slice of American cheese a week, 2 slices at the most. It's not an every day thing.

| ![]() My Teddy loves cheese, particularly blue stilton. I started giving it to him with a prescribed tablet wrapped inside as suggested by the vet. I've never used anything for training, in fact I hate the idea of 'training' him. I taught him not to bark and jump up at visitors and to make friends with dogs he meets out on his walks just by talking firmly to him. He gets his occasional bits of cheese just because he loves it and we love him. |

| ![]() Please be careful with cheese as this breed is prone to pancreatitis. Cheese is high in fat. I would recommend training by cooking an organic chicken breast and chopping it up into small pieces. Dogs go crazy for this and much safer in this breed than cheese. I have dealt with pancreatitis and it is not fun ![]() |

| ![]() Dwerten, thank you for the note of caution. After monitoring poops, I've decided Max can't handle more than one tiny shred of cheese once in awhile anyway. Teddy doesn't need any. ![]() |

| ![]() you are welcome. I just do not want anyone to go through what i went through for a year with dex after the pancreatitis as it was not fun and he almost died. I would hate for that to happen to anyone else and i did not warn you ![]() |
