Will only eat minced beef

Tootsy has a diet of cooked chicken, bean, carrots and wholegrain rice plus her supplements. She get so tired of the same food, but will no longer eat rabbit, venison and she is allergic to lamb and fish. The one food she adores is raw minced beef. She would eat half a pound of it, if I allowed her too. However, she will not eat it if I mix it with her veg and rice. Can she be fed on raw mince with a multivitamin and mineral supplement? How much raw mince for a 10lb Yorkie? I was told that beef is too rich for Yorkies - is this true?

I feed pre pkgd. raw, so all the supplements are in the beef...I do rotate the proteins, between beef, lamb and duck...I was using chicken too, but Buzz seems to have a little sensitivity to chicken, so I'm taking that one out...If you are giving beans/carrots/supplements, why not do the same w/the beef? Is this raw or something you buy for yourselves? Is it possible that the beef has added salt to it, and that's why she likes it? But, iatyq, I'm thinking about 2-3 oz. of protein twice a day for a 10lb. Yorkie, depending on activity.....But, I'd sure watch out, if there is added salt included...

Thanks for your reply. It is just plain raw, lean minced beef from the butcher with nothing added. I have tried to add it to her veg and rice, but she refuses to eat it that way! I prefer to add supplements. I don't know why she will only eat raw beef and not raw venison or chicken. Duck is very expensive here and I doubt if she would eat that raw either. I just wondered if I just fed her beef mince and supplements would it harm her or be bad for her liver etc.

Honestly, I don't know, but I bet EllieMay would...I'd ask her...She seems to be very well informed about these things...I think she home "cooks", for her kids, but would probably be able to tell you how complete that diet would be...
