| ![]() Do you have the ingredient list? I would call the vet and read the ingredients to them and see if anything is toxic. Otherwise... you are just going to have one sick puppy on your hands... I would stock up on pedialyte and rice now.

| ![]() I think she'll probably be just fine. Do you mean a medium sized peice of cheesecake your mom made? Did she just eat it in the last few minutes?

| ![]() Yes, was it a piece or was it literally a medium cheesecake (like the size of a pie)? That would be impossible for a Yorkie... She needs to tell you the recipe for the safety of your pup. If it contains chocolate or xylitol, you have a problem. If it doesn't, you still may have a problem because that can't all stay down and she could get a very upset stomach which can lead to problems.

Crystal, would it be safe to recommend making her vomit?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() I'd call the vet, that's a lot of fat and sugar, there might be something you can do to help eliminate some of the diarrhea that will come. If it hasn't been too long, the vet might suggest inducing vomiting. That amount of fat could induce acute pancreatitis, which is very painful.

| ![]() I think you should call the vet. Is this a baked cheesecake or a refrigerator cheesecake? There is a lot of sugar in cheesecake and whatever flavoring. I would call your mom and tell her what happened. She doesn't have to give you the recipe, just a list of the ingredients for the vet. Don't need to know the amounts. |

Inducing for a bite of bad food would be okay, but not sure since the amount consumed was so large...

I agree with the others - the best thing to do is call your vet and see what they recommend.

| ![]() Thanks guys for all of your concern! I just called the vet and she said that as long as it doesn't involve chocolate (which it doesn't) she will be fine, and turns out she is! Thank you all so much for your care and concern, and, surely i will come back to you if anything else happens to my little girl. ![]() ![]() |
