| ![]() Hi Pipalily Have you tried bows with elastics instead of barretts? I bought some from a woman on this forum who made some lovely bows for me for Christmas. So you may want to try that. Good luck!! ![]() ![]()

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Here's how I got Tuffy to leave in either barrettes or banded bows: I started by making a routine of brushing him several times a day even if he didn't need it; this got him used to me handling his hair. Then I put a poneytail in his hair for a couple hours a day (just a tiny one so that he got used to the feel of it). Over the next week or so I increased the amount of hair & how long it stayed up. We stayed with just a poneytail for a week & then I started putting both banded & barretted bows in his hair. Just be sure when you do this not to pull any hairs too tightly (think how it'd feel! Ouchie). You can tell if it's too tight if your pups eyes look pulled up at all or by just feeling the hair; it should wiggle freely. Hope this helps!
