Thanks for posting this...it makes me sad when I see overweight pets...when it really is quite easy to manage their food - unless of course there is a metabolic issue that is in play, then it's more complicated.

Thanks for the reminder, keeping your pet at a healthy weight is the number one thing we can do to insure health in our pets. I know many people get excited about the different diets and which food is the best, but studies have shown again and again that a healthy weight is the most important factor in a dogs health. I think sometimes we need to readjust our thinking about showing love to our pets, and take them for a walk, instead of giving them that unhealthy treat. Dogs just don't appreciate junk food like humans do!

I know I can spend hours just remembering some wonderful food I ate.
