| ![]() First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their warm welcome (even though I have a yorkie/chihuahua mix) and advice on my thread last week. As you all know, this puppyis taking up all of my time when I'm not working, so I haven't had much of a chance to come back on here and properly address everyone who posted. ![]() You were all correct in that it just took more time for him to adjust and be comfortable with me, as he now will take treats from my hand and runs up to me more often ![]() On another note, I have a question about the new pen I just bought for him. It is a precision 30"H pen and it SAYS it will EASILY snap on to a dog crate to give them extended play. This is exactly what I would like to do, as I don't want the crate in the middle where he would be able to climb on top of it and try to get out and hurt himself while I am at work. I feel like a complete idiot because there are no directions with the crate and so I am assuming this is an "easy" thing (as the box says), but I cannot for the life of me figure out HOW! Please don't laugh at my ignorance and just help ![]() In addition, I have read these little monkeys can climb the 30" pen and so I need to make a top for it. Can this be done with just a painting tarp (I happen to have one of those) and maybe binder clips or ties or something or will he be able to chew out of it? I want to make sure he is safe so that I am not worried all day at work ![]() ![]() P.S. I have found that when we are on the couch together he REALLY enjoys running at me and bopping me with his nose and then running backwards until I "get him" and then he bops me again. LOL Do any of your yorkies do this?? It is the cutest thing!!! He also hoards stuff in his bed. I have found a piece of ice, acorns, leaves and treats I have given him - so cute!! Is this common too? - Tonya Last edited by tonyag9; 02-05-2009 at 11:29 AM. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Your links aren't working right. Just copy the address, and don't use special font or colors, because I can only get Yorkietalk index page when I try opening any of your links. I see you took all the links out, do you have a link to the X pen, not your other thread, but the manufacture?

| ![]() Thanks! I edited it. There weren't supposed to be any links in there. I guess because I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum first and copied and pasted those codes showed up. |

| ![]() I don't know what type of expen you have but hubby undid the clamps that were holding the panels together and reclamped then to the crate. We didn't have "removable" pins. Our pen is 24" tall. Haven't had a problem with either of them jumping out...yet! lol. Here is a picture of ours.

yours looks nice and big compared to the one we have. It works fine now that Bronx is so small, but I think we'll need to get a bigger one when he gets a bit bigger. Do you mind if I ask where you got yours? | |

| ![]() Thanks Archie! ![]() I FINALLY got the pen put up and little Pixel is in it as I type this (let's HOPE anyway LOL). I have it attached to his crate and running along the sliding glass door so he can see outside. I think he will like this much better ![]() ![]() ![]() Mom to Hot Rod - Thanks! That's good to know and eases my mind a bit, since I put a tarp over mine and am worried he'll find a way out LOL He's part chi though, and I heard they are climbers and escape artists, so we'll see if he is still in there when I get home! ![]() Thanks again for everyone's help!! I have a feeling I will be on here a lot now. Well, that is when I'm not cleaning up poop/pee or removing incorrect objects from Pixel's mouth - ha! lol |

| ![]() Hubby ordered in online a year ago so I don't know where. It probably was from Ebay. The panels are 2' x 2' and comes with 8 panels, stakes to secure it on the ground and a carry handle. From what I've seen online and in catalogs, you can get an extension piece which will give you 2 extra panels. If you look, we opened it up and attached it to his crate, this made it a bit wider. I've some that are taller. Fortunately we have not had any issues with either of them jumping or climbing out.
