Baby Chloe and Zoeybear in the Hospital - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Yesterday we were doing yard trimming all day. The girls played outside with us. They kept picking up sticks and Kumquats and leaves. Last night both Zoeybear and Baby Chloe started vomiting. There was quite a bit of grass in it. After lying around a bit, Zoeybear started getting better, Baby Chloe started getting lethargic. We decided to go to the emergency vet with Chloe. On the way, she had a huge seizure. She is in the hospital for possible Sego palm poisioning. We weren't trimming the palm, but the vet is worried she got some. We took Zoey as a precaution so they could treat her in case it was palm. I am so afraid Baby Chloe may not make it. Zoeybear is looking/doing fine. Callie was smart enough to stay out of the whole mess. Baby Chloe is barely responsive. I will die if something happens to my little kissing machine.

I am so sorry that your baby is so sick. I know that you must be worried sick. I pray that she makes a speedy recovery.

Oh my goodness!! I am so sorry your babies are sick. I will keep them in my prayers.

You were quick thinking to get them to the vet asap. I hope they bounce back quickly. Sending them great big hugs from Coco, Pebbles and Trixie.

Oh my, So how could they have gotten "Sego Palm" poisioning if you didn't trim it? Are they low enough to the ground that they could have walked over and helped them selves?

I will keep all of you in my thoughts and send good thoughts and wishes your way...
